Schram, a superb violist working in New York, has recorded Matt Nowlin's solo viola piece, "12 Melodies on the Death of a Friend." The piece consists of 12 short melodic snippets that are intended to be ordered and arranged however the performer wishes. The performer can also choose to improvise connecting material.

Addison Rogers contributed his "lovely vocal harmonies" to Jens Lekman's recent Tiny Desk Concert. The concert took place after the pair's October tour throughout the US and Europe.
Although he's gaining wide acclaim through this popular concert series, to us Hoosiers Addison is known first as the drummer and beautiful harmonizer in the duo Busman's Holiday. Look for a new album from the group in the near future.

A couple years ago I arranged The Beach Boys' "God Only Knows" for Busman's Holiday. We recorded it, but a few months went by and I couldn't find the recording. I couldn't find the only copy of my handwritten parts. I had no way to even recreate the arrangement. I thought this number was lost forever. Recently I discovered that it had been on youtube the entire time, and it was great fun to hear it again. So here it is. Enjoy!
Busman's Holiday and I are in the midst of working on a new full length record, to be pressed to vinyl. It'll feature the best songs yet from Lewis and Addison Rogers, shaped by orchestrations featuring strings, brass, clarinets, flutes, synths, bells, you name it. Look for more info soon. Also, if you're in Europe, be sure to check out Addison as he tours with Swedish pop hero Jens Lekman.

Itai Shapira of Fifty100.com has some kind words to say about The Good News!, calling the record "vintage" and "authentic". There is no higher compliment then authenticity. He goes on to say:
"With all the latest technologies...like Pro Tools and Logic, there is still something lacking with regards to that undeniable analog warmth you can hear on our favorite old jazz records. Matt Nowlin and company have indeed found a way to capture that spirit for a new generation of thirsty ears."
